An Orkney sailing dinghy used for leisure primarily around Shapinsay. Pearl II (really named just Pearl) was built by Ivan Hourston in the early 1980s in Shapinsay. Pearl was built for the then Shapinsay doctor; Dr. Macgregor, and was named after his wife. Pearl is 12′ 6″ in length and built from Mahogany with Oak keel, stem and timbers.

Pearl was only lightly used and has been stored inside for most of her existence and so remains in very good condition. The rudder, tiller, mast and gaffs are all present. The sail is worn but not in too bad a condition.
